WHO WE ARE
PHIGA was established in 2017 as the educational arm of CenterPoint International Foundation, a Christian non-governmental organization founded by Mr. Anthony A. Weedor and his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Fahn-Weedor.
Elizabeth, who is the founder and executive Director of the school, obtained her early education through the courageous and financial assistance of her dearest grandmother, Madame Maima Kai. Ma Maima, as commonly known, stood fearlessly against her male-dominant society to make education a priority for her granddaughters and a dedicated advocate for women in her district, Gola Konneh District.
Today, Elizabeth is continuing in her grandmother’s determination to give girls a Christian and an excellent education. She is devoted to help girls and women who are caught in similar traditional practices and worldviews in Liberia, and to also extend her ministry to other parts of Africa.

FOUNDER and EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: Elizabeth Fahn Weedor, Author of Out of the Ashes—My Journey from Tragedy to Redemption. Elizabeth is married to Anthony Weedor with four adult children. She holds a counselor degree from Denver Seminary and is also a public speaker.

RAISING UP CHRISTIAN SCHOLARS FOR THE 21ST CENTURY
To answer this question, we must begin with an examination of what Christian education is – or more precisely what it is not.
Christian education is not merely a safe escape from the pollution of the world or to hide our children from a Postmodern culture. Education as a whole enhances a women’s or girl’s life. It prepares them to face the world or the society in which they live in every way possible (1 Peter 3:15). In the words of Professor James K.A. Smith of Calvin College:
“…Christian schools are called to be like Aslan in the Chronicles of Narnia: it’s not safe, but good. Instead of antiseptic moral bubbles, Christian schools are moral incubators that help students not only to see the glories of God’s creation but also to discern and understand the brokenness of this fallen world.”
We will teach lessons in prevention to girls and young women. We will also work with the Liberian government to bring criminals to justice.
MISSION STATEMENT: To make available safe homes, restoration and complete healing for girls and women who have been trafficked and suffered sexual violence and abuses.
PHI SAFE HOME will welcome and shelter girls and young women who have been broken and devastated by trafficking and other forms of abuses. It will be a safe and loving environment where true healing and trusting relationships will be built and nurtured.
WHAT WE DO
PHI EMPLOYMENT CENTER will offer employment to graduates of the safe and restoration home. This will help the women be self-sufficient by meeting their own needs.
WHAT WE DO
MISSION STATEMENT: Petals of Hope International affects impoverished
girls, families and communities for Christ by creating opportunities
for holistic education and establishing safe houses for victims of
gender-based violence and trafficking.
PHI provides rescue programs and safe houses for girls affected by trafficking, female gentile mutilation, breast ironing and forms of gender-based violence. Rescue others by snatching them from the flames….show mercy still to others - Jude 1:23
PHI reaches girls, families and communities with the knowledge and saving grace of Jesus Christ. We loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. - 1 Thessalonians 2:8
PHI facilitates programs designed to help trafficking & gender based violence victims come to full knowledge of their value in Christ & empower them to lead productive lives through Bible study, education, skill building & job training opportunities. Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory. - Col. 1:27
PHI raises awareness in every country we work in to prevent violence and trafficking through education, self-defense courses, and partnering with families & communities to shine a light on the evil practices perpetrated on girls and women. Ephesians 6:10-11
PHI is building schools and pursuing every opportunity to empower women of all ages through education, skill building and Bible studies. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. - 2 Corinthians 10:5
